Thanksgiving Muscle

Nov. 27th 2018

Thanksgiving has come and gone.  My heart is full of gratitude to Father for safety during some hard days of car trouble and treacherous road conditions. The trip from KS for our daughter and her family made their time away from home extra long and their stay with us extra short.

Through all of it God's gracious hand of protection was still on them.  Remained on them.  Remains on us.  In all our fears and anxieties we need only to lean hard in the curve of His hand.

Keeping focused on the nearness of God is a challenge and perhaps always will be.  When I have a heart filled with gratitude it is so much easier.

Gratitude is a heart muscle I must exercise every day.

Be anxious for nothing,
but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God.  Phil.4;6
